Reporting from Shanghai, China

The events are attended by an enthusiastic crowd of young makers, the best of whom receive an ESP32-DevKitC for their advanced IoT projects.

iBHubs is a network of educational centers across India, whose goal is to develop a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship by providing end-to-end support for startups. With a vision to establish 2,500 centers across India, iBHubs has already established numerous centers in seven states, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Lucknow.

Towards the end of June 2018, two five-day IoT Bootcamps took place in Hyderabad and Mumbai. These comprehensive hands-on trainings in IoT were part of a series of events which take place across India on different dates. Readers can check the upcoming dates and locations here.

The IoT Bootcamps in Hyderabad and Mumbai were particularly successful, marked by an unprecedented turnout. The talks included in the program were accompanied by on-site demonstrations of drones, gesture-based smart gloves and virtual music instruments. An expert talk on ‘Autonomous Vehicles’ acquainted participants with major research methodologies regarding the ways in which autonomous cars can be safely used in everyday life. Additionally, the IoT Bootcamps included extensive sessions on IoT and Cybersecurity, while attendees were given the time and help from their instructors to build their own prototypes.

Espressif Systems and iBHubs share the same passion for  making electronics education available to all. In an effort to assist iBHubs in creating more educational opportunities for more young people in India, Espressif offers ESP32-DevKitC boards to all high-performing participants in iBHub’s IoT Bootcamps.

ESP32-DevKitC is a low-footprint, breadboard-friendly minimum system development board which is powered by the ESP32-WROOM-32 module. With its rich peripheral set, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as all the basic  system requirements, ESP32-DevKitC achieves optimal performance. Our development board is suitable for rapid prototyping and is, therefore, a particularly useful giveaway to IoT Bootcamp attendees.
