ESP8266EX Wins “Best Wireless/RF IC” of 2016 Greater China IC Design Awards

On March 14, the 2016 Greater China IC Design Awards ceremony was held in Shanghai, where Espressif’s ESP8266EX was presented with the title of “Best Wireless/RF IC” of 2016 in Greater China.

The award ceremony, organized by EETimes-China and EETimes-Taiwan this year, recognizes the industry’s most noteworthy IC products and companies by category through online polling, where thousands of the industry’s engineers and analysts were invited to select what they thought was the best IC in their respective fields.

In the Wireless/RF category, Espressif’s ESP8266EX participated in the polls for the first time and was compared with nearly 10 other ICs by performance, ease of use, signal strength, and other factors. Espressif stood out among all other ICs to take the top spot in the polls.

This award acknowledges Espressif’s contribution to the Chinese semiconductor industry. Espressif will continue to innovate in this field, and deliver good quality and low cost solutions to enable value creation by customers.
