At Espressif, project management trainees play an essential role in both internal R&D and external customer-related projects. You will be working with a passionate team of engineers and scientists from all over the world, focusing on developing cutting-edge wireless communication, low-power, AIoT solutions.

Responsibilities

First Stage: Project Coordinator

Work closely with the project manager to assist in planning, developing and implementing R&D or customer-related projects;

Assist to identify key stakeholders and required resources, evaluate technical solutions;

Closely monitor critical actions and escalate issues proactively to project manager for removal of project barriers;

Maintain documents associated with the scope of new projects, objectives, processes and outcomes.

Second Stage: Project Manager

Take a leadership role in the implementation of new projects by setting up project plans, tracking action items, coaching engineers, and providing regular guidance to ensure project success;

Identify potential problems and establish contingency plans based on risk assessments;

Take lead on project kick-off and regular meetings, assign team member’s actions, coordinate resources as required till action closed;

Work promptly and efficiently to ensure timely resolution of project problems.

Third Stage: Senior Project Manager

Manage large, complex projects that align with global business strategy;

Proactively explore and identify opportunities for collaboration across multiple stakeholders, help define the business strategy and drive the success of the project execution.

Qualifications

A Master’s degree or above, with a major in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering, Automation, or related fields;

Good skills in at least one scripting language such as C, C++, Python, Matlab, etc.;

The ability to creatively and proactively problem-solve and develop short- and long-term goals;

The ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Fluency in English and preferably one or more other languages;

PMP certification is preferred.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Robotics Engineer with a full-stack mindset to contribute to the software stack and demos for ESP32-based robots. This role focuses on embedded systems development, integrating ESP32 chips with robotics hardware and AI-driven functionalities, and building fully functional end-to-end robotics prototypes.

Job Responsibilities

- Build robotics prototypes to demonstrate and inspire the adoption of Espressif chips.

- Develop control algorithms for mobile bases, robotic arms, or hybrid robot platforms (motion control, path planning, state estimation, etc.)

- Develop low-level robotics applications using the ESP32 series, including embedded systems and MCU programming.

- Design and implement core modules of robotic systems, including perception, localization, planning, and control

- Create technical documentation and provide support for robotics-focused ESP32 projects

- Stay informed on robotics trends and competition use cases to guide feature development and demonstrations.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Automation, Computer Science or related fields

- Proficiency in C/C++/Python and Linux/RTOS, with solid software engineering fundamentals.

- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following areas:

1. Robot motion control / trajectory planning

2. SLAM / state estimation / sensor fusion

3.Computer vision or depth/laser-based perception

We are looking for passionate fresh graduates to join our hardware team and grow as PCB Design Engineers, working closely with chip designers, RF engineers, and system teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PCB layouts for evaluation boards, reference designs, and customer products based on Espressif SoCs.
• Collaborate with chip design, RF, analog, power, and software teams to ensure optimal system-level performance.
• Perform schematic review, PCB layout, and design optimization, including signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and manufacturability.
• Support board bring-up, debugging, and validation, including lab measurements and issue analysis.
• Work with external vendors on PCB fabrication, assembly, and DFM/DFT reviews.
• Document design guidelines and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Solid fundamentals in analog/digital circuits, power electronics, and basic RF concepts.
• Familiar with at least one PCB design tool (Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, PADS, etc.).
• Basic understanding of high-speed interfaces, power distribution, grounding, and EMI concepts.
• Hands-on experience from projects, labs, competitions, or internships is a strong plus.

Job Responsibilities

1. Design, verify, and optimize CPU microarchitecture to meet instruction set architecture (ISA) functional and performance requirements.
2. Design processor datapaths, control logic, and memory hierarchy.
3. Research and apply advanced techniques—such as superscalar execution, multithreading, branch prediction, out-of-order execution, and multi-level caches—to improve processor performance and efficiency.
4. Work closely with other hardware engineers, software engineers, and verification engineers to ensure thorough validation of CPU functionality and performance.
5. Write and maintain CPU design documentation, including specifications, functional descriptions, and microarchitecture manuals, to support hardware and software development teams.
6. Design multi-core and heterogeneous processor architectures.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or related fields.
2. Preferably 5 years of CPU design experience, with solid knowledge of processor architecture, microarchitecture, datapath design, control logic, and memory hierarchy.
3. Familiarity with the C910 instruction set and related processor architectures; prior experience designing processors based on this architecture is a plus.
4. Proficiency in hardware description languages such as Verilog or VHDL, with strong logical design and engineering implementation skills.
5. Solid understanding of computer architecture and operating system principles, and knowledge of processor performance and efficiency optimization techniques.
6. Strong teamwork skills, good communication and organizational abilities, and good English reading and writing skills, with the ability to read and write technical documentation and reports.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with performance modeling, simulation, and verification; familiarity with computer architecture and performance analysis tools.
2. Experience in RISC-V processor architecture design.
3. Experience in CPU microcode design and optimization.
4. Experience in CPU power management and power optimization.
5. Experience in implementing CPU security and cryptography technologies.

Espressif Systems is looking for motivated semester interns to join us for a 6-month internship program in Singapore. This internship will provide hands-on experience in module-level and chip-level verification of wireless system designs. As an intern, you will contribute to building reliable and energy-efficient wireless SoCs and collaborate with design engineers to ensure design quality and accuracy.

Internship Responsibilities:

1. Assist in formulating verification plans for modules, establishing verification environments, and completing module-level and chip-level verification

2. Assist in executing regression tests to improve verification coverage

3. Support FPGA engineers and software engineers in completing FPGA prototype testing

4. Work with chip design engineers to identify and fix design defects

5. Ensure the integrity of chip designs and guide the design team in implementing a verifiable design process

Internship Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields

2. Familiar with Verilog and C/System Verilog verification

3. Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Shell, or Tcl

4. Familiarity with UVM is preferred; candidates with a foundation in OOP programming (e.g., C++, Java) are preferred.
