JRC Board: ESP32-Based Dev Board by Bangladeshi Tech Company

Reporting from Shanghai, China
May 17, 2023

The JRC Board is one of the latest ESP32-based dev boards for IoT development and education.

A Bangladeshi start-up has just released the JRC Board, which is based on Espressif’s powerful ESP32-WROOM-32 module. Compatible with the popular, open-source, Arduino IDE, and accompanied by an instruction manual, the JRC Board derives its name from the internationally acclaimed Bangladeshi engineer, researcher and an education advocate, Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury (JRC), who played a vital role in the development Information Technology in Bangladesh.

The development board consists of 20 I/O pins, sixteen of which are capable of giving PWM output, while twelve of them are capable of taking analog input. A USB C type port has been added to the board, which can be used for uploading code to the board, as well as for power supply. The board has a 16-pin onboard IC slot for connecting the L293D motor driver or any 16-pin IC.
